Finnspiration Blankets are handcrafted baby and toddler blankets made with high quality, ultra soft minky fabric. A variety of prints and colors are available at an affordable price. I do take orders for custom sizes up to 48″ x 60″ and the customer may even create their own color combination that may work better for them (depending upon the availability of the fabric requested). I am continually adding new prints and color options. All the blankets have a cotton muslin or flannel lining between the two layers of fabric and are able to be personalized with a variety of fonts available. I do not do the embroidery myself, however, I am able to offer a reasonable turn-around time on personalized blankets. All blankets are machine washable and are very durable.
We make a variety of crafts for home and garden, oftentimes with re-purposed materials. The 2015 growing season marks our 22nd year vending at the Mankato Farmers’ Market! Our recognized Sesquicentennial Farm is nestled in the Minnesota River Valley near New Ulm where we raise over 30 types of Minnesota produce from “A”sparagus to “Z”uchinni. Other goodies available at our market stand include baked goods, photography art and cards, and over 50 types of jams, jellies, and other delicious canned goods. Whether you buy from us at the market or by subscribing to our CSA, we guarantee you’ll always receive fresh, great tasting produce. We are farmers with a family focus — choose us to be your family’s farmers!
My love of sewing led our family into a transition back to a more traditional (homestead-y) way of life. We’re in the city, but we firmly believe the motto “do what you can with what you have where you are.” Added to the mix we homeschool and I am forever trying to find the balance between being a stay-at-home and work-at-home mom (if you’ve discovered the secret, please share)! I have always loved to create and started selling my creations online in 2004 after running out of people to gift my items to. I started selling at the Mankato Farmer’s Market in 2007 with eight products to offer. I currently sell over 30 different sewn and handmade products, specializing in items for your kitchen, purse and baby. You will find my daughter selling alongside me at the Market most Saturdays, as well. She has been selling at the Market since 2010 and currently sells five different products, including her famous bracelets. All of our products are handmade by us in Mankato, Minnesota. We try to add a few new products each year, so stop by to see what’s new this year!
Sue Musser and Joyce Schmidt have a combined gardening history for 40 years. Sue started her gardening for family. Finding varieties that the family liked and kept growing them. This led to the Mankato Farmers’ Market and 23 years later she is still there. Joyce has joined her for the last 17 years.
Over the years we have planted many varieties of vegetables. We start with A, asparagus to Z, zucchini. We have planted gourds and during the winter we make birdhouses, bowls, vases and whatever our imaginations can come up with.
Along with all the vegetables and gourds there are the flowers. Everlastings are what we grow. With them we make wreaths and dried bouquets.
About seven years ago soap making started out as a hobby and quickly grew into something more serious. We now make 100% natural soap, lotion, lip balm, baby products, hair care products and much more. An interest in edible and medicinal plants has been a shared interest for both of us. It is exciting and inspiring for us to be able to incorporate plant extracts and essential oils into our product line. We use organic and fair trade ingredients in our products when available.
We also grow a variety of vegetables and are currently in our third CSA season. We live on a small farm north of Wells MN. We have four kids who like to help out and occasionally you will see them at the Farmers’ Market selling their creations

Our goal is to provide an outlet for customers who want to maintain a selection of native species to help in promoting the natural world of birds, insects and other animal life.

Years ago making soap in small batches worked for us, we still do it that way. Its very labor intensive but we believe it’s worth it. We know you will see the difference in all of our handmade products.
