I have been involved in some sort of farming activity for most of my life, and I have been selling at the Mankato Farmers Market for 24 years. I have always believed that we should be good stewards of the land, and that animals should be treated humanely. I use all organic practices on my farm, and my animals are allowed to roam on pasture. I feed my animals scraps and waste from the garden, and there waste is composted and used to enrich the soil. The animals give me eggs and meat, and the garden gives me produce. It becomes a cycle of life, and there is no waste or no chemical use. I grow a variety of produce, such as, onions, radishes, turnips, carrots, beets, broccoli, kohlrabi, green beans, cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, Brussels sprouts, lettuce, and spinach. I also sell free range brown eggs. I take great pride in my work, and enjoy providing quality food for local residents.
